A highlight of Winefest was a special lot of more than 40 bottles of wine worth about $1,500. It went to one lucky winner, Paul Graham of a “heads and tails” game, played by those who bought a special $25 ticket.

Our first annual Winefest was a huge success!

Oswego Friends of Doernbecher held its most successful fundraiser ever, raising $28,000 at its inaugural Winefest. This event, held April 28 at the Oswego Lake Country Club, combined wines with a silent auction. Featured in the auction were bottles and cases of wines from more than 50 Pacific Northwest wineries, as well as other food, beverage and entertainment packages. The proceeds will go to fund the Doernbecher grant program.

In addition, the group raised $3,000 by pouring beer at the Stickmen Brewing Co. Kettle Sour fest on May 19. In return for staffing the pouring stations, Oswego Friends members received most of the proceeds from this local Lake Oswego business’ special event. The money raised was 50% more than the 2017 Sour Fest in which the chapter participated.

Look for Winefest 2 coming the last week in April 2019.
